This Privacy Policy is to inform you about what personally identifiable information (PII) our web site collects and what may be done with it.

 

PII storage and User Tracking

You are not required to provide any PII to use this web site.  When you access the site, our web host (wix.com) may collect data about you. Your data may be stored in and on Wix.com’s data centers, databases and the general Wix.com applications (including VisitorAnalytics).

Our site uses Good Analytics, a service which transmits website traffic data to Google servers hosted in the United States. Google Analytics does not identify individual users or associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. We use reports provided by Google Analytics to understand the overall user traffic on the site and its component pages.

Both the server for this website, VisitorAnalytics as well as GoodAnalytics, may collect data about your visit including: the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; computer and connection information, geographic location, referral source, pages visited, and other analytics data. Software tools may be used to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We review this data in order to improve our website based on how users use the site. We will not share this information with any third parties, but it may be released at a future time to publishers and/or agents interested in  the works of Stephanie Sauvinet.

Mailing Lists

When you subscribe to receive our newsletter, you may voluntarily provide your email address and name. When you use this service, your IP address will be recorded by Wix ShoutOut, our mailing list provider, as proof of consent of your subscription. Your information will be stored securely by Wix ShoutOut.

Disclosure and Consent

Do not disclose to us the PII of other individuals without their express written consent.

The target audiences of this site include both adults and young adults interested in Science Fiction.  Minors under the age of thirteen (13) are expressly prohibited from using the site without approval of their parent or other legal guardian (this includes subscribing to our mailing list.)  Our site complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act and will not knowingly collect the PII of any minors under the age of thirteen (13) years of age.

 

We will take all reasonable technical precautions to prevent the loss, misuse, modification, and/or unauthorized release of your PII.  Our team will not provide your email address or other data to any persons other than (1) Wix ShoutOut or other providers that assist with the creation , management and dispersal of our newsletter or group emails or (2) law enforcement in coordination with actual or threatened legal actions.
